Accessibility Statement
Last updated: 22 August 2026
This website should be usable by every parent who needs it, including parents who use a screen reader, navigate by keyboard, need larger text, or are sensitive to motion. That matters to us for the same reason the rest of this site exists: people should not be shut out of something that could help them.
The standard we aim for
We aim to meet WCAG 2.2 Level AA. That is the level referenced by the Americans with Disabilities Act guidance and by Section 508.
What has been done
- Every page uses proper headings in order, so a screen reader can navigate the structure.
- A "Skip to content" link appears as soon as you press Tab.
- Every interactive element can be reached and operated with a keyboard, and shows a clear, high-contrast focus outline.
- Text and background colours were checked against the 4.5:1 contrast requirement for body text.
- Images that carry meaning have descriptive alternative text; decorative shapes are hidden from screen readers.
- Every form field has a real, visible label, and errors are announced in text rather than by colour alone.
- Motion and scroll animations are switched off automatically for anyone whose device requests reduced motion.
- Each page declares its language, so Hebrew pages are read correctly in Hebrew and right-to-left.
- Text can be enlarged to 200% without content being lost or overlapping.
Known limitations
Book cover images are supplied by the publisher and their embedded text cannot be enlarged; the same information is always given in the surrounding text. Pages that link out to Amazon or Instagram are outside our control.
